Morris

Morris was born in Henry County and grew up in Freedom Township on a farm. He was very busy while living there. Morris drove a combine for wheat, beans and oats; drove a Deutz-Allis Chalmers 8010 tractor; and drove a GMC Sierra truck while on the farm. He also worked on the machinery doing such things as changing spark plugs. Morris had his own toolbox which included a hammer, screwdriver, crescent and socket wrenches. Some other chores he did on the farm included baling hay and straw and raising cows, hogs and chickens. He gathered eggs and cleaned the chicken coop and hog pens. Morris helped with the feeding and milking of the cows and even helped birth a calf or two! More recently, he has been kept busy with Special Olympics soccer, basketball and softball. Morris is now participating in horseback riding and bowling. His favorite outing with the SASS Program was the Sheriff’s Office and jail tour. When you see Morris, make sure you ask him about his busy and interesting life—he’d be more than happy to tell you about it!
