Medicaid Waiver Match
Local levy dollars are required to help fund the local match for Medicaid waiver services. This match allows Henry County to draw down federal Medicaid funds and support services such as personal care, employment supports, home accessibility modifications, transportation, and community participation.
Why This Levy Is Needed?
The cost of services continues to rise, while current local levy revenue is no longer keeping pace with community needs. Henry County’s existing levies were approved in 1982, 2000, and 2006, so they continue to generate revenue based on the rules and property values tied to those original levies. Updated levy funding would help maintain services for individuals and families who rely on support every day.
